The movie review aggregator website HitFix made money this week from making users click through to negative reviews and rating positive ones. One positive review about Drive ended up receiving three negative reviews and four mostly positive ones. By hitting those sites with negative reviews and letting users rate them on an aggregate scale, HitFix claims it has managed to raise negative reviews from less than 5% of films to 30%. At this rate, one negative review could easily receive five positive reviews and five negative reviews. While most reviews will appear
