The issue focused on Reza Aslan's Muslim identity in America

On April 12, 2017, The FBI announced that it had arrested Reza Aslan, the leader of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), and had discovered "specific evidence of possible terrorist acts by Reza Aslan and other senior leaders of ISIS." The alleged terrorist leaders were arrested on April 20.

Aslan is not the only Muslim American who has been arrested on immigration
