The issue focused on in this article is an analysis of the science used in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports. It includes an assessment of the scientific basis for the controversial statements and conclusions in the 2007 Fourth Assessment Report (AR4) and the 2012 Fifth Assessment Report (AR5). In particular, it discusses the scientific basis for the statements and conclusions that have been strongly disputed by leading climate scientists.
