The issue focused on whether technology should be able to predict when someone will commit a crime. The technology has been around for years, but last year the technology was finally approved as the technology that would help police conduct DNA tests in cases where there's been a suspect's DNA on the victim's clothing.

If it can work in some cases, it could make it possible for police to bring people in for questioning who they've never met or may not even know are there.

If it doesn't work
