The movie tells the story of artist Dennis Newton who starts working with photographs that show horrible scenes in Vietnam and Asia in 1969. His paintings depict gruesome imagery such as tanks exploding in flames or POW's burned alive in scorching fires. After visiting numerous Cambodian villages he documented atrocities committed against villagers by Viet Cong troops. These shocking images led him to examine war crimes committed by American soldiers and Marines in Cambodia in 1965.
