The issue focused on the fact that it is no longer possible to use a law passed in 2014, but not yet fully implemented, to stop police from using body-worn cameras.

"I can't know if I have an officer with a camera and he's only there for one or two days. It's like you're going to be left in the dark about when that video is being made," said city attorney Mark P. Eisemann, who has been working to get the law changed.
