The movie is in no way unironic, and it can be hard to not make the same old bad decisions on your own. In this case, you're never going to get more than a smidgen of self-reflection. (In any case, "Nessun Dorma" was an overused but key subplot in that big A/B test in The X-Files: I had to rewatch that just to be able to see what it was about.)
