A study by researchers at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., also found that studies were done to check what impact companies have had on global warming. The biggest increase in carbon emissions from technology has been from fuel and chemical plants, which make up about 20 percent of all human-caused greenhouse gas emissions, according to the study.
