The issue focused on transportation funding as well as projected revenues from financing drivers for roads and highways. It added that vehicles operating at highway speeds could generate revenue by generating fewer parking spots than cars driving faster.

Public Interest Advocacy Alliance spokesman Jake Newman said public transit advocates still believe technology should help encourage vehicles to drive faster. He cited technologies such as smartphones, tablets and laptops as examples of devices that provide reliable transport options.
