The movie itself is pretty clever. It doesn't really tell us anything about the subject matter or how it came to be so terrible (not even that the movie is awful). It just sort of reveals what the real story is.


The real story is simple: many illegal drugs were being purchased by the government to fight the "war on drugs." And because the government was buying them, millions of Americans ended up in the hospital after they became addicted to the drugs. Eventually, they all died.
