The issue focused on specific comments a Clinton associate made in 2006 to a CBC reporter at the time when she was vying for the New York Senate seat that is now held by New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand.


The comment was made to The New York Times at the time when Clinton was running for the Democratic nomination for president and met with Bill Clinton at a house in Chappaqua in the midst of her Senate campaign. It is generally not known that the conversation took place in that house.
