The issue focused on the impact of climate change on sea levels.

In the paper, researchers from the University of Oxford say that the rising sea level has already had an effect on the distribution of ice sheets, but the impact has been more dramatic than expected.

The paper, published in the journal Science, found that in recent decades the ice sheets have shifted away from Antarctica and toward lower latitudes.

The study was funded by the UK Climate Change Research Centre and the UK Climate Science Programme.
