Patient with rapidly progressive tumorous mass in the area of the right tongue. After multiple biopsies externally and in domo, pronounced verrucous leukoplakia without evidence of carcinoma. Pathohistologically, however, a verrucous carcinoma has not been detected to date. Due to the rapid progression in size of the findings, there is now an indication for transoral tumor resection. Both the patient and the relatives/carers had ample opportunity to ask questions about the procedure beforehand.
