In the patient, a cT2, cN2b G2 oropharyngeal carcinoma on the right side was histologically confirmed as early as <2005> during a panendoscopy. In our interdisciplinary tumor conference, primary surgical treatment was recommended, but the planned definitive treatment was then rejected by the patient <2014>. After undergoing alcohol withdrawal, however, the patient still wanted the recommended treatment. Preoperative CT showed circumscribed tumor growth, overall sonographic cN2b neck status and cM0 situation in CT diagnostics.
