Alice was already familiar with the idea of an infinite number of worlds, as her previous self had tried to come up with an explanation for her own existence and her memories. However, she had always been hesitant to accept the existence of multiple worlds on her own before her trip through that portal. Now it seemed that she was confronted with the inevitable truth. In a way, she was grateful to have a bit of a confirmation as to what her experiences in the past had been. On the other hand, it was more evidence that she was going mad.

She looked behind her to see her other self looking at her. "How are you feeling?" asked her older self. She nodded her head, feeling a bit better. She was still a bit upset about the previous conversation, but that was to be expected after being confronted by the truth of her own existence.

She heard the portal snap close, signaling the end of her journey. The two girls were still sitting in the same spot where they had been. "What do you think?" asked Alice.

"I think we both need some time to think," responded her older self.
