Are you going on a date tonight?” My friends thought I was going to my first date, but my date was already a couple weeks later.  My family was also confused because I didn’t have any dates, since I wasn’t dating anyone at that time.  After my date, I got to thinking, why would I get all this pressure when I didn’t have a date?  I also couldn’t see the point of wasting my time with a date if I didn’t have a date.

You may be feeling like this, but you are not alone.  Many teens feel like they don’t have dates, but others still don’t have dates for a variety of reasons.  If you are thinking about going on a date, there are three things you should know:  (1) Don’t go on a date until you know what you are going to be doing with a date, (2) Don’t go on a date without being prepared, and (3) Be yourself at a date.  Keep reading and I will explain each of these.
