Bob went to the top of the ridge. He could see the ocean and he could see his friends' boat, too, bobbing about in a big swell. The weather was calm, the sky was blue, the wind was cool. There was a line of boats on the water and an endless horizon of sand. Bob's heart sang. He knew what his life was all about. It was just like that movie about the hippies. And he knew everything about it.
    Bob was very happy, with no job, no bills, and no cares. He could afford to go out and buy a boat and sail for months at a time. He could take all his friends on boats and sail around the world. He knew that his father was rich and he would send him the money for all this, no questions asked. And his mother would buy him lots of presents on the boat; like a little house on the beach.
    He could live in the tropics and never have to go to a boring place. It was his dream. His parents told him it was impossible and they said he would never get his money because no one wanted to buy an old boat in the city. But Bob would show them all with his money.
