Are you kidding? My parents don't want to lose me, so they're not going to let me live alone until I'm 40. If that's the way they feel, I can't argue." Then he added with a grin, "And if I were 40, my parents could no longer force me to go, so there's a very good chance I would have made it on my own."

This year has been an especially big one for his parents in terms of travel. Their first big trip was to Europe in 1995; they loved it so much they went back in 1996. They had planned to go only to Spain and Italy but decided to add Greece. "Since it was only an additional three days," says Bob, "we thought why not go?" It proved to be the most extraordinary trip of their lives. "Every time my mother tells someone what happened, the person says, 'I've never heard of anything like it.' It's an amazing story. People are so excited to listen to the story that my mom will actually have 50 people sitting there while she repeats it to everybody."
