As of 2024, 85% of U.S. adults use YouTube, more than any other online platform surveyed, and majorities across age - groups are users, including 65% of those 65 and older. Nine - in - ten U.S. teens ages 13 to 17 use YouTube, with 73% going on it daily. Around a third of U.S. adults regularly get news from YouTube, up from 23% in 2020, and in 2024, they are as likely to get news from YouTube as from Facebook. News consumers on YouTube are more likely to be men. About 24% of adult U.S. YouTube users get news from news influencers, 44% of whom are on YouTube.
