Frontal and lateral views of the chest demonstrate low lung
volumes, accentuating prominent cardiac silhouette. There is bilateral
perihilar peribronchial cuffing and wide spread increased interstitial
opacities, suggestive of atypical pneumonia or severe bronchitis, felt less
likely to represent edema. There is no pneumothorax or pleural effusion.
