  Endotracheal tube terminates 4 cm above the carina.  Low lung volumes are low.
  There are focal airspace opacities in the right lower lobe and retrocardiac
  left lower lobe.  Pleural effusions are small.

 SINGLE FRONTAL VIEW OF THE CHEST
 
 REASON FOR EXAM:  Assess ET tube.
 
 ET tube tip is 4 cm above the carina.  There is mild cardiomegaly.  There are
 low lung volumes.  Bibasilar opacities are larger on the left side.  On the
 right likely atelectasis. on the left are a combination of small effusion and
 adjecent atelectasis and or aspiration.  Atelectases are present in the left
 upper lobe.  There is mild vascular congestion.  Cervical hardware is
 partially imaged.
