there are three tips to cooking leeks
and preparing them one of them is to
properly clean them
i first take the back end of the leek
this area
chop it off
and i use this for vegetable or chicken
stock
the next thing is to vertically cut the
leek along several lines
just like so
under cold water rinse your leak to
remove any dirt and debris
chop it coarsely like so
or if you need to thinly
chop it i suggest doing a couple more
vertical line cuts
through the leak like so
then holding it all together
and finally chopping it
