Abstract: Highlights•Differences between myelin-sensitive measures exist, especially in MS pathology.•The MWF mapping algorithm can strongly influence lesion MWF and g-ratio values.•g-ratio values strongly depend on the myelin measure used for MVF calculation.•The largest differences between g-ratio values were found in MS lesions.•Myelin methods optimized in healthy tissue can provide erroneous results in pathology.
