TL;DR: Categorial grammar offers a unifying, high-level framework to analyze processing
Abstract: We argue for the categorial view on natural language grammar as a unifying, high-level framework to analyze sentence processing. We show that the framework accounts for key characteristics of sentence processing such as incrementality, predictivenss, grammar-guidedness, resource efficiency, resource limitations, resilience to ambiguity, and vulnerability to ambiguity.
