Edge-preserving image restoration based on a weighted anisotropic diffusion model

Abstract: Highlights•We find the weighted anisotropic diffusion coefficient function with high convergence speed.•The adaptive threshold parameter helps keep more details in restored images.•Multi-scale feature map fusing can reduce staircase artifacts along edges.•The performance of the proposed method is promising for real natural and medical images.
