Image projective transformation rectification with synthetic data for smartphone-captured chest X-ray photos classification

Abstract: Highlights•A method to rectify projective transformation of chest X-ray photos taken by phones.•The method is trained in an end-to-end manner on synthetic photos.•Achieving first place in the CheXphoto chest X-ray photo classification competition.•Achieving the same level of classification performance as on digital chest X-rays.•The method may be used for other photos like computed tomography photos.
