A Dynamic Feature Fusion Strategy for Magnetic Field and Wi-Fi Based Indoor Positioning

Abstract: The paper presents a dynamic feature fusion strategy to provide more accurate and reliable location estimates in areas of weak discernibility for indoor magnetic signals. Experimental evaluations were carried out in two different scenarios to confirm improved performance of the proposed strategy. The results achieved is more than a 25% and 45% improvement in the average error distance compared to conventional magnetic-field/Wi-Fi localisation system and single magnetic localisation system respectively.
