W2WNet: A two-module probabilistic Convolutional Neural Network with embedded data cleansing functionality

Abstract: Highlights•A novel two-module CNN exploiting Bayesian inference is introduced.•We address image degradation and mislabelling both at training and at inference.•Our method overcomes the deterministic counterpart (standard DenseNet121).•We show results on two public benchmarks and a real-world histological case study.
