Spiking two-stream methods with unsupervised STDP-based learning for action recognition

Abstract: Highlights•We present a spiking STDP-based two-stream model with various temporal stream types;•we evaluated this spiking model on KTH, Weizmann, IXMAS, and UCF datasets;•we find that spatial and temporal streams are complementary in this spiking model;•we conclude that spatial and spatio-temporal streams together create redundancy;•we observe that spatial noise negatively impacts the performance of this model.
