Black-box adversarial examples via frequency distortion against fault diagnosis systems

Abstract: Highlights•We propose an adversarial attack with domain knowledge for fault diagnosis systems.•We explicitly distort frequency components of signals along with their waveforms.•The proposed method successfully causes wrong diagnoses without model information.•A self-collected dataset is first unveiled in this paper and used for experiments.
