Abstract: Highlights•A hypervolume distribution entropy model is proposed to measure the population improvement.•The dominated and non-dominated cases can be measured together.•The hypervolume distribution entropy model is continuous, highly-distinguishable and parameterfree.•The proposed algorithm outperforms the other similar algorithms in the majority of the experiments.
