Cutting planes for improved global logic-based outer-approximation for the synthesis of process networks
Abstract: Highlights•Global optimization algorithm for generalized disjunctive models for process synthesis.•A global optimization method, based on the outer-approximation, is presented.•The global outer-approximation is partitioned into two stages to find feasible solutions faster.•A new cutting plane method is proposed to improve the lower bounds of the algorithm.•Computational results show significant advantages over general purpose solvers.
