Abstract: Organizations are increasingly using intranets to provide information services. Standard Web technologies, including the browser-based user interface, are now used inside organizational network boundaries to relay everything from organizational policy to up-to-the-minute series figures. The authors discuss the use of Web-based tool servers and personal tool services.
