Lightweight face mask detection algorithm with attention mechanism

Abstract: Highlights•A lightweight face detection algorithm based on YOLOv5 (LFMD- YOLO) is proposed.•C3E, MECAPF, and E-BiFPN modules are proposed to enrich channel information.•Proposed LFMD-YOLO-N based on model scaling.•The deployment experiments of edge device TX2 verified the application value.•The proposed detector achieved excellent SAT performance.
