Abstract: In this paper, first of all, the existing localization algorithms of planetary rover are summarized. And then, the RCM (RSSI and Circle centre Mixed localization) Algorithm and its theoretical model, which mixed RSSI (Received Signal Strengt Indicator) Algorithm and the Circle of contact-Center Algorithm, are proposed based on the technology of wireless sensor network. The simulation results show the validity of RCM Algorithm which lowers the localization error down to 10% while the error spreading of RSSI Algorithm is even up to 50%.
