Rate-Delay Enhanced Multipath Transmission Scheme via Network Coding in Multihop Networks

Abstract: Distinct from the existing rate-reliability results, a novel multipath transmission scheme is proposed to enhance the rate-delay performance in multihop networks by employing network coding at the source. This scheme provides new rate-delay tradeoffs with fine granularity for rate maximization and is adaptive to quality-of-service (QoS) requirements.
