Abstract: Error correction is an indispensable component when physical unclonable functions (PUFs) are used in cryptographic applications, because environmental factors influence PUFs' performance. Nowadays, syndrome-based scheme and code-offset scheme are used in PUF error correction. In this paper, a new scheme named error correction with multiple challenge-response pairs (ECMC) is proposed to perform better than code-offset scheme under certain circumstances.
