Multidimensional Intrinsic Identity Construction and Dynamic Seamless Authentication Schemes in IoT Environments
Abstract: Internet of Things (IoT) devices are ubiquitous in modern society, the device identity and authentication schemes are playing a fundamental role in IoT system protection. However, the existing schemes face challenges such as limited authentication dimensions, insufficient dimension construction, and weak protective capabilities. Although there have been many researches managed to enhance the diversity and dynamic nature of authentication, most of them still fail to meet the needs of identity intrinsicity and authentication continuity. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a multidimensional intrinsic feature-based identity construction scheme for IoT devices, which involves multidimensional extraction and decision-level fusion. Futhuermore, we intruduce a behavior risk model and present a dynamic seamless authentication scheme for IoT enviroments. Finally, we test the schemes in a physical simulation industry IoT scenario, and the experiment results show that the system’s error rate for identity authentication approaches zero and remains stable, while quickly detecting abnormal behavior and ensuring long task cycles for legitimate entities.
