Abstract: Highlights•We integrate biological prior knowledge into feature selection for DNA methylation.•The first methodological literature to focus on rejecting spatially isolated CpG sites.•The network-guided group-shrinkage strategy encourages clustered sites and discards isolated ones.•The spatial network depicts and utilizes uneven spatial correlation.•Our method outperforms the comparing methods, especially in excluding isolated sites.
