Monitoring data quality for telehealth systems in the presence of missing data

Abstract: Highlights•An online monitoring method, based on Hotelling's T-squared control chart, is developed for the quick detection of data quality issues for an all-in-one station-based telehealth system.•Missing data is an often encountered and a challenging problem in healthcare applications. Currently imputation techniques are used to handle missing observations.•Our proposed method explicitly models the missing data and has the ability to deal with missing observations without using imputation techniques.•Our monitoring tool is validated, implemented and integrated into a telehealth system.
