Abstract: Highlights•3D online traffic reconstruction based on video data directly. Our results are shown in a 3D virtual reality space comparing that of the existing methods, the results of which are in 2D pixel space.•No need to provide the camera parameters of the video data. There are few limitations on the position of the camera.•The reconstruction is with good visual effects.
