Eye-selective fMRI activity in human primary visual cortex: Comparison between 3 T and 9.4 T, and effects across cortical depth
Abstract: Highlights•We examined the detectability of eye-dominance signal in V1 using high-resolution fMRI.•High-resolution GE-EPI at 3 T was compared to sub-millimeter resolution at 9.4 T.•9.4 T yielded more reliable eye-selectivity in a larger fraction of voxels.•Cortical depth analysis showed strongest eye-selectivity at the cortical surface.•Eye-selectivity in GE-EPI at 9.4 T is dominated by vascular rather than neural effects.
