Abstract: Highlights•This is the first work to utilize the mesh data’s face relationships to generate pyramid data that represents advanced features of 3D shapes.•Proposes a novel multi-granularity 3D shape recognition neural network for pyramid data.•Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed multi-granularity neural network performs better than some classical 3D shape recognition methods.
