WeldNet: A deep learning based method for weld seam type identification and initial point guidance

Abstract: Highlights•A weld seam type identification and initial point guidance system was developed.•Accurate identification of weld seam types was realized by WeldNet network.•Convenient initial point guidance was realized by monocular vision and WeldNet.•The initial point guidance accuracy of the system is 0.85 mm.
