Abstract: Highlights•We propose to represent the complex relationship between SC and FC from the perspective of multi-brain collaboration, which is called the local SC–FC coupling pattern.•We combine the proposed local SC–FC coupling patterns with a counterfactual explanation model to reveal the mechanisms of brain disorders.•We evaluate the performance of the proposed method using real epilepsy datasets.
