Abstract: Highlights•An observable DNA storage coding method based on frequency matrix game graph (FMG) was proposed to generate DNA storage codes satisfying combinational constraints.•The FMG coding method has the characteristics of constraint conditions and visualization of coding process, and is superior to the previously published results in terms of size of coding set.•FMG method reduces the number of edges and points in the coding graph and reduces the computational complexity.
