Waveform design with controllable modulus dynamic range under spectral constraints

Abstract: Highlights•A new constraint that is used to control waveform modulus range, referred to as MDRC, and its projection operator are proposed.•A projected-gradient algorithm (PGA) is proposed to solve the non-convex design problem of low-ACS waveforms and its convergence is analyzed.•We extend PGA to develop two fast-version algorithms, Fast PGA (FPGA) and Accelerated PGA (APGA). Experiments demonstrate their superiority.•We also modify PGA as Spectral-PGA (SPGA) to solve the waveform design with arbitrary spectral shapes and the convergence of SPGA is analyzed.
