Abstract: Highlights•Hyperspectral images of rock samples can be enhanced using super-resolution principles.•Shifted assisted approach can overcome the traditional multi-frame registration problem.•Spectral analysis showed absolute spectral consistency between original and super-resolved result.•The result achieves a new level where no spectral losses are found on super-resolution enhancement of rock samples imagery.
