The Component Sythesis Algorithm: Technology Mapping for Register Transfer Descriptions

Abstract: In functional modeling, one or more micro-architecture components are described as separate concurrent blocks. An algorithm, called the component synthesis algorithm, is presented that automatically synthesizes micro-architecture components for a functional description. Experimental results show that the automated functional synthesis is comparable to the performance of human designers.<
