Abstract: Highlights•We sort 53 datasets, and build the large COSMOS 1050K medical segmentation dataset.•The dataset contains 18 modalities, 84 objects, 1050K 2D images and 6033 masks.•We are the first to test the SAM on a large medical dataset using different modes.•We carefully analyze the influence of different factors on SAM’s performance.
